Internet access at school is a real concern for parents. I am a parent of a 14 year old and a 10 year old. Both of them use the computer at home quite extensively and I monitor it closely. While at school, my 14 year old has access to the internet at almost every point in the day. This concerns me because the monitoring is not very close. With the incidence of problems at sites like MySpace and others, I think that more and more filters need to be installed at schools because it is nearly impossible for one teacher to have his/her eyes on all of the many students.

I'm going to have to agree somewhat with you on this one, Jon. I don't for a minute believe this bands account was deleted because they are homosexuals. It's surely a case of violating terms of service. I also don't believe, for a minute, Murdoch controls in anyway whoes account stays or goes. There are homosexuals all over MySpace and they certainly are not in the closet. So, If these guys were censored for being gay why are there thousands of other gays openenly and freely using MySpace? The only part I part ways with you is I don;t agree Murdoch has a right to censor anything on MySpace because he owns it.

Thanks for the post.
